Ko wai mātou (who we are)
Tai Pari Mōhio Limited is a leading New Zealand software development and AI company. Our software design philosophy is based upon the Māori concept of whanaungatanga (relatedness) - that everything and everyone is connected, and that no problem or service exists in isolation. By creating the space at the outset of any project, to listen to our partners and the people they provide services to, we create empowering digital solutions designed from the flax-roots up to deliver measurable outcomes for patients and communities. We are also firm believers that it is far more productive for frontline workers to be able to maximise the amount of time spent delivering actual services rather than getting caught up doing paperwork. Accordingly, we build for efficiency as well as social impact, freeing up staff to operate at top of scope and spend less time on administration, creating frictionless and intuitive user interfaces that make a measurable difference in people’s lives.
Examples of our mahi (work)
Emergency Q – reducing crowding in hospital emergency departments
Our Emergency Q platform is a three-time winner at the New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards. This unique cloud-based AI and software solution integrates urgent care clinics and hospital emergency departments in real time. Emergency department triage nurses use Emergency Q’s powerful clinical algorithm to accurately and safely identify clinically appropriate patients to offer the option of a digital transfer to urgent primary care. Emergency Q has saved frontline nurses and doctors a quarter of a million hours, freeing them up to operate at top of scope treating patients with medical emergencies. Low acuity patients are able to access the care they need in the most appropriate clinical setting based on their level of need, and have saved over a million hours of waiting time.
Pātea - reducing gambling harm
Pātea is the product of a special collaboration with our clinical partners at Hāpai te Hauora and Whare Tiaki.
We developed this new digital application to reduce levels of gambling harm, particularly among Māori and other communities who are disproportionately impacted by the effects of problem gambling. The application can be downloaded to any phone or device for free and includes the first of its kind indigenous addiction support chatbot, providing 24/7 culturally and clinically relevant support. It also comes with a wide range of other features including a testimonial portal enabling people to share their stories about the impact of gambling on their lives in addition to what is working for them when it comes to charting a positive course forwards.
Manawaroa is a leading community provider dedicated the delivery of resilience training and support for carers and social workers in order to improve the wellbeing and outcomes for children in foster care. We worked with their team to design and build a leading edge software solution that empowered course participants with an easy to use app to participate in online training courses and access learning materials. Simultaneously, we gave the Manawaroa training team the gift of time, by taking essential back-office tasks that once took them three days to complete, and reducing these with smart tech and automation down to just three minutes, freeing up precious time to deliver more training and meet client needs.
